Metrics Dashboard
A metrics dashboard provides important performance information and metrics that have been filtered to be relevant for a particular person based on their role, position, and scope of authority. It should:
- deliver information in an intuitive way to enable the user to quickly assess current performance against goals, targets, or objectives
- help identify if there is an issue or opportunity to improve performance
- enable users to determine the best corrective action to take
myDIALS Dashboard
The intuitive, analytic myDIALS dashboard is the user interface of the myDIALS Performance Management Platform. The following list summarizes the myDIALS dashboard capabilities:
- Highly visual with graphics designed to aid in quick, consistent understanding;
- Interactive to allow the user to filter and "drill into" information to obtain more detail;
- Provides information in context — additional detail is presented in a hierarchical drill tree showing the original information and the path taken to obtain the detailed information;
- Allows you to quickly apply filters, change contexts, and alter the time period and level of all information in the dashboard;
- Enables you to drill directly into drivers, the formula used to calculate Key Performance Indicators (KPI metrics), and see the components or actionable Key Performance Drivers (KPD metrics);
- Enables authorized users to easily view, filter, sort, modify, add, or delete raw data records.
myDIALS goes beyond dashboard visualizations to support a continuous improvement model, ensuring everyone can make better operational decisions more quickly by incorporating:
- Alerts to proactively notify appropriate people of issues requiring attention;
- Embedded expertise and collaboration capabilities to enable knowledge sharing;
- Sophisticated analytics to help characterize issues and determine the cause, including trending, forecast projections, variance analysis, control charts, Pareto charts, and correlation analysis;
- Immediate what-if scenario analysis to preview the result of one or more actions to help determine the most effective actions to take to correct an issue.
